Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the "Baby Flashcards 0–3" mobile application (the "App") distributed via the Apple App Store. This Policy is drafted with applicable privacy laws in mind, including GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, and CalOPPA, to the extent they apply to a user.
1. Controller and contact
The data controller is the App developer listed on the App Store product page. For privacy requests (access, deletion, correction, objection, etc.), please use the "App Support" contact method available on the App Store page.
2. Data we process
We may process the following categories of data:
- Usage and device data through Firebase Analytics: App usage events, approximate device/app information (device model, OS version, language, country/region, session timing, and interactions with screens/features).
- Diagnostics and stability data through Firebase Crashlytics: crash information, error traces, and technical diagnostics used to fix issues.
- Subscription and purchase data: product identifier, price/currency, transaction status, and subscription status needed to provide premium access.
We do not receive or store full payment card data. Payments are processed by Apple.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Contract performance: providing App functionality, activating/verifying subscriptions, and restoring purchases.
- Legitimate interests: usage analytics, quality improvement, security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- Consent: in jurisdictions where consent is required for analytics/identifiers, processing is based on your consent.
- Legal obligations: compliance with applicable law.
4. Subscriptions and Apple In-App Purchases
The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions (for example, monthly and annual plans). Current pricing is shown in the purchase UI and in the App Store in your local currency.
- Your Apple ID account is charged at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Apple ID settings: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039.
- Purchase restoration is available via the "Restore purchases" button in the App.
5. Data sharing
We share data only as needed to run the App:
- Apple for payment, subscription management, and transaction validation.
- Google Firebase (Analytics/Crashlytics) for analytics, diagnostics, and reliability improvements.
- Public authorities/law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used in CCPA/CPRA).
6. International data transfers
Infrastructure providers (such as Apple and Google) may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, legally recognized transfer mechanisms are used (including standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards).
7. Data retention
Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. For Firebase analytics, retention is configured in the service (typically 2 or 14 months for user-level event data); aggregated reports may be retained longer. Subscription-related records are retained as needed to confirm entitlements, accounting, and legal compliance.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- access and obtain a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- for California residents: rights to know, delete, correct, and non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
To exercise your rights, use the "App Support" contact method on the App Store page. We may need to verify identity before completing a request.
9. Children's privacy
The App may be used by children under parent/legal guardian supervision. We do not knowingly collect directly identifying information from children through the App interface (such as name, email address, or phone number). Analytics and diagnostics are used for internal operations, quality, and security. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us via "App Support" and we will review and delete as required.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
